UK Diving
In
1996 the Groups owners identified the business potential of developing
commercial web sites and the attractive benefits that would accrue from
having a significant/dominant presence in a niche sector.
After an extensive market review, UK Diving Ltd was established in 1997
to acquire the ukdiving web site.
www.ukdiving.co.uk had been established in 1993 and is one of the best
established specialist interest sites on the world wide web. www.ukdiving.co.uk
has been significantly developed and grown by the Group so that it is
now believed to be the World's largest web site for the diving industry,
comprising over 32,000 pages of content. The site has its own on-line
shopping mall, www.atlantis-mall.com which was the first mall established
to serve the specialist on-line buying needs of divers.
An international edition of the site was launched in 2001 to make the
site extensive international content available to a wider audience.
The site has received many favourable reviews both from press and TV
and is now estimated to reach over 1.5 million users per
year

to the UK Diving web site, DIS provides an ISP (Internet Service Provider)
service to the sport diving industry with the first ISP dedicated to serve
the needs of the diver.
The ISP provides free Internet access, e-mail and web space for divers
who access the Internet through ukdiver.com ukdiver.com also provides
a full range of ISP information services and facilities plus full access
to the specialist UK Diving site.
Underwater Ltd
was established to develop a number of business opportunities using the
"underwater" brand.
All the businesses have a link to water and utilise the specialist knowledge
developed by the Group in this field.
